The Monsoon Sprinkler

We offer several types of Monsoon Fire Protection Kits, as well as individual SPS sprinklers.

An SPS (structure protection sprinkler) is a rugged, heavy-duty sprinkler that is placed on or around a structure threatened by a wildfire. The MONSOON Structure Defense System consists of a series of SPS sprinklers.

Quick SPS structure protection sprinkler facts:

  • Offers quick deployment and can alleviate the need to have live personnel to provide structure protection in a wildfire
  • Useful for prescribed fires, as well as stubborn fires like manure, hay, tires, etc.
  • Sprinklers have removable legs for convenient storage
  • For fire agencies, our structure defense trailers provide a number of Monsoon Sprinkler kits so you can provide structure protection for many homes with a small crew
  • For water sources that are far from the area to be defended, we offer water supply kits
  • Homeowners should consult with local fire agencies regarding need and deployment of a Monsoon Structure Defense System
  • Sprinklers offer a choice of a 3/4" hose connection (garden hose) or a 1" hose connection
  • Sprinklers cover a 110 degree circle using 10 gallons per minute at 50psi pressure
  • Each sprinkler covers 9500 square feet.

  • Each kit includes five Monsoon Sprinklers

  • Each kit includes 450 of Niedner lightweight fire hose and four gated wyes for effective and flexible connection
  • For fire agencies, our Structure Protection Trailers include numerous Monsoon Sprinkler Kits to provide structure protection for many homes with a small crew

MONSOON Structure Protection KITS:
In order to provide adequate coverage for a structure, we have developed the Monsoon Kit. Each kit contains the elements needed to provide adequate coverage for a structure of up to 2500 square feet, and the defensible space around it.

Monsoon 1000 Kit:
Includes five SPS 1000 sprinklers, 450 feet of 1" fire hose, and four 1" gated Wyes.

Monsoon 750 Kit:
Includes four SPS 75 sprinklers and one SPS 750 sprinkler, 450 feet of 3/4" fire hose, and four 3/4" gated Wyes.

Monsoon Structure Defense TRAILERS
Designed for Fire Agencies, Homeowner Associations, or any organization responsible for providing structure protection to multiple buildings. These trailers are designed to contain enough kits to protect up to 25 structures. The trailers are ready-to-deploy, self contained units. Individual Structure Protection Sprinklers (SPS)


SPS 1000
The SPS 1000 sprinkler features a 1" hose connection and sprays in a 110' circle at 10gpm/50psi.


SPS 750
The SPS 750 has a 3/4" hose connection and provides the same water coverage as the SPS 75 or SPS 1000. The main benefit this version offers is by virtue of it's 'spider' leg patter, it will securely sit on the peak of a pitched roof.


SPS 75
The SPS 75 is identical to the SPS 1000, except this has a 3/4" hose connection (garden hose)

MONSOON Structure Protection KITS:
In order to provide adequate coverage for a structure, we combine a series of the above SPS sprinklers to create a Monsoon Kit.
